You can see that with a 1/2″ high car, you will need over 3.5 oz. of added weight. That is why we recommend you get 4 oz. of good quality weights and go for a fast car. Yes the lower profile car will generally be faster. Wind resistance IS a factor, and when you add the weight to bring the car back to 5 oz., if you use the correct weights you can significantly change the Center of Gravity and the speed of your car.
